How to Play
Objective
Collect the most valuable luxury items through auctions, BUT the player who spent the most money is automatically eliminated! Balance is key.
Game Components:
- Luxury Cards (positive values) - Status symbols to acquire
- Disgrace Cards (negative values) - Scandals to avoid
- Money Cards - Your limited bidding power (different denominations)
Gameplay Mechanics:
- Auction Phase - Cards are revealed one at a time
- Bidding - Players bid using their money cards
- Once Spent, Gone Forever - Money cards used cannot be reclaimed
- Three Types of Cards:
- Prestige cards (1-10 points)
- Multiplier cards (x2)
- Disgrace cards (negative points)
Winning Condition:
- Highest total prestige score wins
- BUT the player with the least money remaining is eliminated before scoring!
Strategy Tips:
- Money management is crucial - Don't overspend early
- Watch opponents' remaining money carefully
- Sometimes passing is the best move
- Disgrace cards can force opponents to spend
- Save money for the multiplier if you're collecting points
